About

Hi, I’m Royale Scuderi. The standard bio says I am a freelance writer and blogger. I also act as a life success guide at Productive Life Concepts. I write mostly about growth, productivity, success, life balance, key strategies, purpose, gratitude and military life, but I have many interests and love to learn about new topics.  I have finished my first book on deployment from the perspective of the family left behind and am shopping for an agent! It’s a raw and eye-opening look; I promise you.

More importantly I am a proud military wife and mother of 4 children. As if that isn’t enough to keep me busy I’m also a technology junkie, community volunteer, spiritual seeker, lifelong learner, avid reader, amateur photographer and nature worshiper. BIG NEWS: Add grandmother to the list!

I am married to a wonderfully devoted and hard-working soldier named Anthony. He is a member of the Air National Guard, who has recently come home from his second deployment with the Air force.  He is also loyal and protective; generous and considerate; intelligent and creative and at times extremely frustrating. He has an amazing capacity for useless trivia, silly jokes and random movie lines. The thing I envy most about him is his ability to figure out how things work, envision a solution and create it with his own hands.

We are very different creatures. Anthony is impulsive while I am a planner, fun when I tend to be serious and creative while I am busy analyzing. We are unpredictable, yet stable; intense, yet steadfast and have diverging opinions on many things. Crazy as it sounds; it works for us.

We have 4 children. Caitlin (now married to Matt) and Daniel are both out of the house for the most part and are working on easing into adulthood.  Alexandra is just stepping into her college life and loving it. Poor Elijah, who is easing into the tween years is still at home and the recipient of all of our attention now. We are thrilled to have recently been gifted with an adorable little grandson, Gabriel (Thank you Cait and Matt.) We also have 3 dogs, a Beagle mix named Hunter and a Bulldog named Rocky and Georgia, our newest member, a greyhound rescue, who will I’m sure be mentioned from time to time as they are a constant source of aggravation and joy.

We are sometimes a ragtag, chaotic bunch that butt heads and go in all different directions, but ultimately we are just a family that is doing its best to survive and grow through the often thrilling, yet difficult and painful reality of everyday life that often requires heart-wrenching military separations.
